FAQS

It is always a good idea to try and make an appointment with us as then you know your time with the Tattooer is confirmed. We do take walk-ins whenever possible, but availability varies from day to day.

We prefer if you can make the booking in person or if you can’t, you can make a booking via e-mail. To confirm your appointment with one of our Tattooers we require a R500 deposit. The deposit will not only secure your appointment time but will be taken off the price of your tattoo.
For those that cannot make this payment in person, you can pay the deposit by EFT (electronic fund transfer) . Our banking details will be given once booking enquiry has been made.
*Please Note: Deposits are non-refundable unless a 48 hour notification of postponement or cancellation has been given.

For big tattoos (e.g. sleeves, back pieces etc) that can’t be done in one sitting we have an hourly rate.

To ensure your safety and ours, whether you’re getting a small or a big tattoo, the setup is still the same. You aren’t just paying for a new tattoo. Everything at the artists’ station is bagged or covered with disposable barrier film. Everything that will be touched during the tattoo process should be covered. This limits the possibility of cross-contamination and spread of *blood-borne pathogens from one client to the next. New needles, disposable tubes, sterilized grips, professional equipment, variety of consumables and the process of sterilising ensures that you get a good, clean tattoo. Your health and safety is important to us, that’s why we have a minimum charge.
* Blood-borne pathogens are the microorganisms that carry infection like Staph and MRSA, Hepatitis, HIV, AIDS, and a host of other illnesses. An autoclave is the only acceptable means of equipment sterilization in the tattoo shop. It is a machine that uses a combination of heat, steam and pressure to kill all pathogenic microorganisms known to man.

We take every precaution possible with regard to the health and safety side of applying tattoos. It is not just done to protect our clients but to protect ourselves too. We use sterile, single-use needles, disposable gloves, single-use disposable tubes and medical grade surface disinfectants before and after every tattoo session to clean the area. All other consumables are either single-use or medically sterilized by means of a hospital grade autoclave.
We are a custom tattoo shop and will be able to draw up a design for you. However , we cannot choose your tattoo for you as tattoos are a personal choice. Most of our clients will bring in a rough sketch, pictures and objects that represents the idea or concept of their tattoo. We do have a great selection of unique flash drawn by us, which is a good source of different variety of styles and tattoo designs that you can choose from.
In most cases you will not see your drawn up design until on the day of your appointment. Due to the busy schedule of the Tattooers, most final drawings and designs are completed the night before your booking . On the day of your appointment if there is any changes you’d like to make it’ll be done on the spot. It does not take the Tattooers long to do these changes.
Unfortunately NO designs leave the shop until the design is on your body.

We do not charge to touch up our own work within a year, however the free touch up excludes tattoos on the fingers, hands and feet. These will be charged our shop minimum. Given that you followed our specific after care instructions.

There is an old saying that goes; “The bitterness of a poor tattoo far outweighs the sweetness of a good price.”
We do not recommend getting tattooed if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Tattoos done in white has no longevity to it and is not recommended as it does not stay white in the skin.
